What the hell, man?

Okay, so, I'm working on this story, right? And it's supposed to be a short story for my Dirty Shorts series. Just a hot little ditty. But no. These two guys just won't play nice. They keep demanding more. Now it's getting longer and I just... What the hell, man? Why can't my characters listen to me and do what I say? I'm supposed to be freaking GOD to you guys!


Anyway, I didn't want you to wonder what the hell I've been doing over here all this time. I had a plan and, well, it just didn't happen the way I thought it would. C'est la vie.

Eat it

Another tasty tidbit from PostSecret.com. I love this. It's so primal. It reminds me of the story Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are, told:

“Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I answer all my children’s letters—sometimes very hastily—but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I've ever received. He didn't care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it.”

I have never been compelled to eat a book but I do like to sniff them. :)

Soul-kiss Shifters

Okay, some info. This is the idea I've been playing with that I wasn't too sure about. It would be a series of books, each book exploring the relationship between two guys, one of them a shifter. Keep in mind only one man is a wolf shifter. Each guy has his own animal and that gives him certain abilities and certain weaknesses. It combines my love of animals with my love of hot man-on-man action. Yes, I'm a perv, but I'm okay with that.

There's only two chapters up right now because I'm really not sure if I want to continue. I guess I'll leave that up to readers. If you like it and want me to keep going, I will. If not, no harm, no foul. I just had to get the idea out of my brain and onto paper. :)

Shameful Secret

Every Sunday, I read PostSecret.com. I get story ideas, character ideas--it just has a tendency to spark things for me. Today, it made me laugh. I do this! I do this every morning when I make eggs. I also have this silicone spoon that makes a great clapping sound against my ass. I pretend it's applause for my fabulous cooking. :)

No, it's not a real book. I've just been struggling with the one I'm writing so I'm looking for distractions. In Long Haul, Jody finds a book in Ryker's truck called Rimjob Rob. I thought I would give it a cover. Clearly, I need therapy.
